1 通过 windows nt 4.0 考试 70-067、70-068 和 70-073 的应试者可选择广泛的「考试 70-240：microsoft windows nt 4.0 认证之 mcp 的 microsoft windows 2000 速成考试」。通过此考试之后，应试者即满足下列的 mcse 考试要求：考试 70-210、70-215、70-216 和 70-217。考试 70-240 已不再推出。
2 持有 windows 2000 mcsa 或 mcse 认证的应试者可参与考试 70-292 来取代考试 70-290 和 70-291。另外，持有 windows 2000 mcse 认证的应试者可参与考试 exam 70-296 来取代考试 70-293 和 70-294。
3 应试者也可参与考试 70-219、考试 70-220、考试 70-221 或考试 70-226 以满足必考设计科目的要求。
