考试当天拍摄的照片将打印在考试成绩单上，采集的拇指指纹将试用于考生口试前身份认证。

考生的照片和指纹将会根据中国及国际关于信息保护的法律规定严格保密，只用于与ielts考试有关的事宜。

notice on new ielts identity verification procedure

from 25 november 2006 a new system of taking photographs of candidates， together with a thumbprint matching system， will be piloted at designated test centres. candidates‘ participation is voluntary.

as ielts gains ever wider recognition around the world （now more than 4000 receiving organisations） these enhancements reflect our commitment to efficiency benefiting all who value the test.

test-day photographs will appear on the test report form； the thumbprint is being trialled for use on test days to confirm the identity of candidates when they return to the test venue for their speaking test.

candidates‘ photographs and prints will be used only for the purpose of the ielts test and will be treated as highly confidential in accordance with chinese and international data protection law.
